Description
Vulture Rocks is a jumble of boulders and ledge that sits on a steep hillside at the edge of the swamp. A popular place for the local kids to build forts, it also provides several nice boulder problems. Best visited in late summer or fall when the bugs have died off. The hillside faces west and gets a fair amount of afternoon sun.
Getting There
From the Watson Road entrance, take the Power Line Trail into the woods. Take your first right turn which takes you across a boardwalk through the swamp. Vulture Rocks can be seen on your left at the edge of the swamp as you cross the boardwalk. Once across the boardwalk, take the herd-trail to the left along the edge of the swamp 100 feet to the boulders.
