Description Suggest change

These zones are found along the Centennial Trail between the trailhead on Westridge Rd. and a point where the rock gives out near some apartments. The largest pile, The Preserve, is a stones throw from the trailhead parking lot on Westridge Rd. Others are growing right out of the trail near a narrow set of stairs along the trail a few minutes from the trailhead. A little farther down the trail at a bend is another pile set back behind some trees. There's more to explore beyond, but potential diminishes as you hike near the back of some apartments and a strip mall (Goodwill store). Most of what you'll see is on city land, but some is on private land. Lots of new home building in the area. The rock is typical In-Town granite - some good, some not so good. Generally sunny in the mornings and shady in the afternoons.

Getting There Suggest change

Park at the Centennial Trail trailhead on Westridge Rd. and boulder hop directly to The Preserve or take the Centennial Trail up Westridge Rd. and follow it to the other areas.
