Description

Little known Bouldering are on the shores of Woods Lake. Lots of variety, from crazy overhung cave problems, 30 foot slab highballs, cracks, etc. Beautiful forest setting, and fairly secluded. You will rarely see any other climbers or hikers. There are a few established climbs, with tons of potential for new development. Overnight camping is free on a first come first serve basis at any of the marked Campgrounds. Rock here is fairly abrasive, so bring lots of tape.

Getting There

From NY Highway 30 near Northville turn onto Benson County Road, after about 5 miles, Park at the Benson trailhead of the Northville Placid Trail. All areas are along the obvious trail marked with the blue blazes
