Description Suggest change

Big sloping boulder on the hillside right next to the random bottle boulder. Features a juggy shallow cave on the downhill side, a concave slab on the uphill, and levels out toward the top of the hill.

The Arete just right of "Cave Right" is another problem, about as difficult as the other two, with a sit-start. And a traverse has been done from "Cave Left" going right to "Crimps", although the massive ledge in the middle takes out some of the excitement.

Directly uphill is another boulder with a traverse called "Backslapper", about V6. The stand-up finish (sw arete) is about V4.

There are dozens more established problems at the Tick Ranch that didn't make the guidebook, as they are a little harder to find. Hopefully, they will be added into future editions.

Getting There Suggest change

Visible from the trail along the creek, hike directly uphill when you see the boulder, 20/30 feet after passing a side trail that takes off toward the creek
