Description
A large hillside covered in broken talus with sadly very few problems. The Tin Can boulder is worth the walk over, if you have walked out to climb at the Deep Woods Boulder nearby.
Getting There
Parking at the main beach pond parking lot, follow the trail to the Hemlock ledge, then follow the sign to Deep Pond trail up the hill and to the left. Once you cross the fire road, walk for 3/4 of a mile to a sharp right hand fork in the trail, then take another immediate hard right. Follow the hill down through the rhododendrons then up a small rise to another right hand turn. Continue down another few minutes until you come to a large dirty slab on the left, and a fork in the trail. Bear right, up and over a hill, and down into a dense pine stand and stream. The talus slope is on your right.
