Description
The Hochschwab area is a mountain range in styria and got its name from the highest peak Hoschschwab (2277 m). There are numerous climbing, hiking and skiing opportunities in the area. Small alpine cabins are very popular, offering food, drinks and sometimes accomodations (typically booked in advance).
The Frauenmauerhöhle located in the western part of the Hoschschwab range is a 644 m long cave. Since it has two entrances you can cut through underneath the mountain range. Guided tours are offered during the summer (for times and more informtion see: erlebnisregion-erzberg.at/n…).
