Description

A long stretched and rugged looking rock ridge with a variety of climbing and hiking options around. You can pack two peaks within a 30 min hike: Vordernberger Griesmauer (2015 m) and TAC-Spitze (2019 m). The final part up TAC-Spitze is an easy but somewhat exposed Via Ferrata (protected with cables) but you will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Getting There

From Graz follow A9 to Traboch and exit onto Eisenstraße (115). Follow it until Präbichl and to the restaurant Latschenstuben in Vordernberg. There are a variety of small parking pullouts available. At the end of this road continue on the main hiking trail towards Leobner Hütte. Continue on past the cabin on the hiking trail towards Vordernberger Griesmauer and TAC-Spitze until you hit the rock formation.
