Description Suggest change

One of the most easily accessible mountains in the park. The peña is east-facing and receives morning sun. There are a number of routes that climb both the South and North peaks. Most routes are 800-900 ft. long and are equipped with bolted anchors and normal bolts in some of the difficult sections. Most routes rely on threads and rock bridges in the porous limestone because most metal trad gear won't be too useful here.

Getting There Suggest change

Entering the park from the north, drive towards the small town of Sotres, which is located within the boundaries of the national park. Follow signs to the city, but at the last sign that points north towards the city that is clearly visible 200 ft above the road, continue straight on the road and do not go to the city. Continue less than a mile down this dirt road that follows the valley and Peña Fresnidello will be the first peak on your right.

Approach from the road and the parking area (left of the road) takes 40 minutes on a clearly marked trail. Fairly steep.
