Description
This area features single pitch ice climbing. Most of the routes are located in secluded coves so they see very little sun. The coastline faces generally south east so belays are often sunny and pleasant. A short walk of about 20 minutes from the parking will put you at the first route which requires a rapell to access.
Getting There
Follow directions for the Fundy Trail Parkway. Drive to the gate and find a suitable place to park. Walk on either the main road (which will be unplowed) for about 15 minutes until you reach a sign that says Fownes Head. There will be a lookout area and stairs leading down toward the cliff edge. Follow the stairs down to a trail and the cliff edge. Look for a gully beside a lookout. Downclimb a WI2 to reach the beach and the first three routes. From here you can access the rest of the routes by walking east.
