Description
Wave Wall is a steep crag situated high up above the valley floor. Routes range in grade from 5.11 to 5.14. The climbing is steep and powerful broken by horizontal rests. One of the more popular crags in the mountains. It gets sun after 2pm in Summer and very little in Winter.
Getting There
From Blackheath - cross the train tracks and turn immediately left. Take the next right and head down 500m to Centennial Glen Rd, Turn right onto this and follow to the end. Find a park. It gets really busy with climbers and walkers on the weekend.
Take the main track heading towards the cliff line. Descend some stone steps and turn right. Follow this track, without veering left, around past Hip, Shake, Jerk area, Junket Pumper Area, and Main Wall. Just past Main Wall turn left. Do not go up the stone steps. Follow this well trodden path to the end. You will now when you get there! Overhanging crag with large boulders scattered around the base.
