Description
Perhaps the most well-known Australian state, with it's capital city of Sydney. Generally, the climate will be tropical along the coast and arid as you move inland over the great dividing range.
NSW is home to many well-known climbing areas such as the Blue Mountains, Nowra and Point Perpendicular, as well as many lesser known areas. Additionally, the Australian Capital Territory is located entirely within the southern part of NSW and is home to Booroomba rocks.
On rest days, NSW is well known for it's many famous and beautiful beaches and surfing. Famous beaches include Bondi (Bond-eye), Coogee, and Manly, all located in the Sydney area. If you happen to be around in the Australian winter, you can also ski among the gum trees in the snowy mountains in southern NSW.
