Description
The routes in the vicinity of Ground Zero Corner are somewhat spread out and most are seldom climbed. The majority are trad routes, though a few good sport routes can be found (Aftershock & American Storm come to mind).
Getting There
From the parking lot, take the trail to the outlook. Turn left. Follow the white blaze trail going north. You will pass the chain-hand rail. To the right look for the 3rd class descent. Descend this. Turn right. Go past the Big Gulp area. Go past Camel Wall, Morphine, and Cat's Tail. The area starts climbers left of a large gulley referred to as the Batcave between rescue markers #17 and #18. The large corner feature that gives the area its namesake route (Rescue marker #19) marks the left boundary of this area.
