Description
Mount Nemo is located in Burlington, Ontario and is a conservation area owned and operated by Conservation Halton.
This area is managed by Conservation Halton. No new bolting is permitted without explicit permission from Conservation Halton, and all requests for vegetation removal should be submitted to Conservation Halton. Park entry requires a reservation which can be made in advance at parkvisit.ca, or at the entry gate for an additional fee.
As with many of the crags that form the Niagara escarpment there is a single cliff line, which is broken in several places by gullies that can used to access the base of the routes. The sub-areas are listed climbers left to right.
Local rescue authorities have affixed "rescue plates" along the base of the cliff. These bright red plastic plates have numbers on them, and are frequently used by climbers to locate routes. The plates are numbered sequentially from right to left, starting at #1 and going up to ~#50. Confusingly (and annoyingly), there are also spray painted numbers marking the start of some routes. These numbers start from the left side of the cliff band, and increase as you walk right.
Getting There
Take the Q.E.W. to Guelph Line Rd exit #102. Take Guelph Line North for about 10km to Colling road, the parking lot is on the right.
An online permit system is in place. (last update Nov 2025)
