Description
Sherrin Woods was recently cleared (Aug. 2018) specifically to attract climbers!
The main feature of Sherrin Woods is Pine Rock, a cliff-face with one exposed side around 24' of slabby terrain. Two pairs of bolts at the top make for easy top-rope setup, and there is some potential for mixed natural/passive pro anchors to expand the range of your climbs; just make sure you bring a long static as the best tree is pretty far from the edge.
The left-hand side of Pine Rock (from the Austin Street entrance) winds uphill, leading to shorter climbs, bouldering potential and some class 4 scrabbling.
Continuing along the right of Pine Rock brings you to a slightly steeper section of wall before it too winds uphill with little climbing potential.
As you continue past Pine Rock, there are three other smaller outcroppings, and a stand alone boulder on the paths closest to the Dale Street Playground. There is some bouldering potential on the outcrop closest to Pine Rock on the right. The other two offer some scrabbling, and maybe the chance to practice placing pro.

Getting There
The parking is located at 42.268870,-71.123701, or across from 270 Austin St., Hyde Park.
The trailhead is newly rehabbed with large boulders and peat - you'll see it on your right as you approach 270 Austin St. It's maybe 30 feet from there to the crag.
There is also access through the park, but I don't know those trails.
