Description
Ocean side, wave pounded, polished granite with marble intrusions. Endless and relitively unestablished fun. Watch the tides. High tide makes the approach/depproach exciting.
Getting There
Take coastal highway from Riverton toward Tuatapere. Before Colac Bay township turn left onto Tihaka Beach Rd. Follow gravel road to eastern end of the beach.
Walk east along beach past the first rock outcrop. 100 m past the area, cross the first rocky headland by either traversing on the coastal side over the chasm or walking around the back over stock tracks. The Octopus Wall is straight ahead.
