Description
Very close to the 12.2 boulder. This area features a cluster of 3 climbable boulders. One small, one medium, one steep overhang. There is a little something for everyone here... plus there is a V10 that is just begging for a second ascent and an open project that may be even harder. Check out these fresh, new problems!
Getting There
To get here, drive south on the Blue Ridge parkway from Afton. Drive until you see the 12.2 boulder/parking area. Keep driving to mile 12.7. You should see a gravel pull off on the left hand side of the road. You can park here, then walk a little ways down the road (south bound) until the gutter widens into a grassy pull-off (you can park here in the future). This pull-off should be at the base of a ravine. Hike up the hill and you will find a cave like boulder where the ground slopes with the steep overhang. You have found the C-137 Area. The other two boulders are just to the Right.
