Description
Behind Portsmouth High School is a large patch of woods with trails that are used for the Cross Country team’s practices, but are also accessible to the public. Easily accessible and not difficult to find. The boulder is not huge but it has a nice overhang with potential for several routes. The slabs are less interesting but maybe worth checking out. Fairly secluded and shady in the wooded area.
Getting There
Park behind the high school at the tennis courts and then walk down toward the baseball field and back into the trails. If you go left at the fork, follow the trail for several hundred feet. Off of the trail toward the left you will see a boulder slightly hidden from the view of the path. Conversely, if you take the right path at the original fork you will find yourself at a slabby area, but there really isn't much to be done here..
