Description
Mainly known as a bouldering sector, there are also some taller rocks with worthwhile top-rope climbs.
Getting There
Two main ways to get to Rock Dojo. Though many of the more popular boulder problems are toward the northwest, most of the top-ropes are near the southeast end.
One way to reach the SouthEast end is to first get to the intersection (N41.1444 W74.1639) of the gentle dirt/gravel approach road with the steep start of the Boulder Rd. Walk left (WSW) on the gentler road for 650 ft, a little up then down then up until reach a clearing (N41.1438 W74.1665). Look right (NNW) and up
- - [ see Photo ] - -
to see the left-most sunny cliff which has no substantial trees at its bottom or top -- that's West Terrace. Walk up the hill toward that, and meet at (N41.1442 W74.1668) a trail running northwest (left) to the other top-rope walls of Rock Dojo.
For how to reach the NorthWest end, see the Rock Dojo bouldering area page.
