Description
Viewed from the west, S-1 is the dagger-like peak just north of and well below Squaretop. It offers a fun, exposed summit perch, yet has not been climbed very often in modern times (see summit register photos). Routes going up the south and northwest faces of S-1 are quite short (60-80ft) such that this is mostly a peakbagging destination, but if you happen to be in the Squaretop area anyway, make sure to climb S-1 too.
