Getting There
Climbing routes in the Index area are usually reached by riding up the mechanical lift named Index, then hiking and scrambing.
The Index lift is normally reached by first riding up the La Flegere lift, whose bottom station (GPS lat long approx N45.9416 E6.8855) is north from the town of Chamonix.
Unfortunately in recent years, the operation dates of these lifts have been much shorter than the effective season of climbing.
