Access Issue: No Fixed Anchors Permitted
Details
This cliff is a Native American (Greenville Rancheria) sacred site and as such, fixed anchors are not allowed. Previously established fixed anchors have been removed. Any and all climbing should be done with natural gear anchors.
2017-2023 Seasonal Raptor Closure: Entire Cliff Area
U.S. Forest Service Seasonal Raptor Closure for Peregrine Falcon and Golden Eagle Nesting:
Moonlight Crags has a seasonal closure from Feb 1 to July 15 for a five year period in an effort to encourage cliff use by nesting raptors. This period may be extended on a year-by-year basis if fledgling birds are present later.
During this time please respect the closure buffer and avoid disturbance, keep noise to a minimum, and use your best judgment to gauge and mitigate your impact.
Successful nesting raptors will not negatively impact climbing access in the long-term, but disrespecting the seasonal closures will. Moonlight Cliffs is open to public access throughout the rest of the year.

Description
A highly featured low angle slab of excellent rock quality, and the closest rock to the road. This juggy face makes for a fun warm-up free solo, but for those so inclined there is a modestly protected traditional line on the left flank. Around the left side at the base there is a near-vertical face that provides a few fun short routes.
Getting There
Hike approximately 0.5 miles from the parking area, when you emerge from the chaparral to the open ridge keep hiking for a minute and the slab will become visible facing directly towards you. To reach the base, walk down a short loose gulley to the north (not the gully directly adjacent to the slab).
