DescriptionEnchanted Alcove is a secluded nook nestled in the folds of the Boynton Canyon vortex. A meditative amphitheatre with an assortment of cracks.
West-facing, partially shaded by trees... pleasant most days of the year.
Getting ThereFollow the main Boynton Canyon trail for about 15 minutes, passing the Vortex Trail junction as well as the buttress that has Watch Out Grandpa. A few hundred yards past the signed turnoff for the resort, the trail crosses a major drainage. Follow this upstream for a few hundred feet and turn left to scamper up slickrock slabs. At the top of the slabs you will find a well established trail that will take you to the alcove. Total: 25 minutes
