Description Suggest change

Not for the feint of heart is both the approach and the base belay for Tsunami Wall !

Home to about 10 routes 5.7 to 5.11a, the base belay is on a ledge with a 80 foot drop off. Fall off this and you'll take the "express train" back to the "T-intersection" at the base of the Bubba Buttress !

Getting There Suggest change

GPS MAY NOT BE EXACT ,

Follow the main path past the (left) turn-offs to Stinger and 4-20 walls, then later past the (right) turn off to Portal, and the (left) turn off to Bear's Den. Continue up over mossy talus to the main junction at the base of the Bubba Buttress. Here you should be at the base of an amphitheater, with Bubba Buttress visible just to your right. The trail "T's" here.

Turn left and traverse 50-75 ft, then climb up steeply (fixed rope assist) to the base of Snakeskins (both the crag and the climb of the same name.)

Now...walk right along a narrow path along a forested cliff band. Look for webbing, connected to 2 bolts, to use as a handrail while stepping carefully around a rock bulge to a ledge with an 80 ft drop off to the base of the amphitheater! There's a 2 bolt chain anchor on a small ledge for the routes on the left side of the wall. PLEASE, PLEASE CLIP IN IMMEDIATELY TO THE BELAY ANCHORS !
