Description

The south coast is home to some serious big wall climbing that's situated in a remote setting. You need a sense of adventure to climb here. The Burin peninsula is still largely undeveloped but is accessible by car for those who want to check it out, with Swift Current (Cannon Hill) being the main developed crag and also the closest to St. John's.

Getting There

Access to the South coast will require using your own boat, taking a ferry or getting a local to take you in their boat as there are no roads for the vast majority of the coastline. The Burin peninsula is accessible by car.
