Despite the lack of any real mountains in the area, there are still many climbing opportunities in the region around Halle/Leipzig. This large area doesn't have the concentration or quality of rock climbs that the Sächsische Schweiz, Frankenjura or the Pfalz but if you're in the area, you can definitely get your climbing fix and have some fun.

Halle and Leipzig are two good sized cities in Germany. They are therefore accessible by several means including airplane, train, and automobile (via the A9 or A14 Autobahn). For more specific directions, select a climbing destination on the left side of your screen.
