Description

Bollerfells is an excellent 25m high monolith located outside of Aistaig (near Oberndorf am Neckar). Most climbs here are located on the east or west faces (ostwand & westwand), providing sun or shade throughout the day.

The sedimentary rock is characterized by horizontal cracks. The rock can be friable so a helmet should be considered mandatory.

Getting There

From Stuttgart:
A81 south to the exit for Oberndorf (L415/Balinger Straße). Continue on Balinger Straße through Oberndorf. Turn right on B14 (Stuttgarter Straße) and go north to Aistaig. In Aistaig, park in the church parking lot located on the west side of B14 (very tall steeple). Parking lot GPS coordinates: N 48°1846.3, E 8°3419.0.

From the parking lot, walk north along Uferstraße for a half-block. Turn right on Felsenweg. Walk uphill for two blocks. Turn left on Birkenweg. At the fork in the road, veer right and continue on the dirt path. Parking on Birkenweg is not allowed.
