Description Suggest change

The tallest rock face at Takatori Yama, around 20+m. However there does not appear to be any routes up the longest face (or at least any interest in doing it if one exists). The climbing in this area tends to be 5.10 and up and it's all top rope. It is not uncommon to come across climbers working on their dry tooling technique on the overhanging faces.

Getting There Suggest change

About 200m west of Observation Tower area. This area is easy to spot as it features the tallest spire of rock in the park.

To access the top of Expert's Wall and the Crack Climb, there is a scramble (roughly 30 feet) up just to left of the tunnel (looking into Expert's Wall area). There is a small fence to go around and another fence at the top of the scramble. A and AA are straight ahead, and Crack Climb is to the left around a boulder. Be extremely careful going up. There is no fixed protection along the narrow face. And one misstep will send you down a near vertical wall. This is also how you access the top of Playground Climbing.
