Description Suggest change

Innerdalen is a mountain valley north-east of Sunndalen. It runs paralell with Sunndalen. With signature mountains such as Innerdalstårnet (Innerdal Tower), Skarfjell and Trolla it can be described as a Norwegian Monument valley. For many years Innerdalen has been a hub for alpine climbing in Norway, and can be considered one of the most classic alpine climbing areas in the country.

Approaches and routes are long. Cabins or tenting can make a climbing day more managable.

Getting There Suggest change

Drive from Sunndalsøra RV70 north to Ålvundeid (right out of the tunnel). Follow the sign to Innerdalen. From the parking lot at Dale it is a 4km walk to tourist cabins.
