Møre og Romsdal Rock Climbing

Møre og Romsdal is located on the west coast of Norway and is divided into three districts. Sunnmøre in the south, Romsdal in the middle, and Nordmøre to the north. Møre og Romsdal is often associated with big alpine mountains, deep fjords and giant walls that tower above the valleys below. The area is great for any type of climbing you might be interested in as it is home to some legendary areas that are known throughout the world. Some of these areas include big walls like Mongejura and the legendary Trollveggen (Troll Wall). Big alpine mountaineering routes are also abundant in such places as Sunnmørsalpene. Møre og Romsdal has also seen a bit of hard Mixed climbing FA´s in the past few years by visiting climbers such as Ines Papert.
