Description

The Dragon's Tail is a 200 foot tall tower located on the northeast side of The Kingfisher. This tower is also known as "The Queen Fisher."
RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek Details

Getting There

The approach to the east side of Dragon Tail is ~1.2 miles long. Follow the Fisher Tower Trail as it winds around Doc Rock and Ancient Art.

Leave the Fisher Tower trail and climb up the Ancient Art trail. Depart the Ancient Art trail and follow a trail to the base of the NE Ridge on the Kingfisher.

The route starts in a chimney 40 feet right of the Colorado Northeast Ridge on The Kingfisher.
