Description
Nowra is a small city in the South Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. Located 125 kilometers (78 mi) SSW and about 160 kilometers (99 mi) by road south of the state capital of Sydney.
Nowra contains wonderful climbing (mostly sport) in a nice urban setting. Most of the crags are situated in the Shoalhaven River valley. Most crags are accessed by canoe or a short stroll. The sandstone here tends to be steep requiring powerful moves although there are few exceptions.
The better climbs tend to favor the intermediate to advanced climber. There are ample options for camping around the area. Nice surf on those rest days.
