Description Suggest change

Excellent rock and challenging slab climbing.

Getting There Suggest change

Starting at the chain that blocks car access further up the Kimpu-san Highway, walk up the highway for about 10 minutes. You'll pass a pumphouse like building on your right. About 50 meters beyond the pumphouse like building, you'll see the lower Gamma Slab on the right up through the trees. Continue up the highway another 25 meters and you should see a cairn on the right that marks the path leading up to the slab.

The path up to the slab will split before the base of the slab - up and right takes you to the lower center of the slab (an area where the ground has slumped downward); the left fork goes up and left then switchbacks back right to the routes on the left margin of the slab (Slab Dance, Pickpocket, etc.).

You can continue up around the left side of the slab to gain trees at the top to rig top ropes or continue up through the trees to the slab containing Gamma Route pitch 2.
