Description
Long ridge along the SSW flank of Starbuck Mountain. This is the same area as the ice climbing one ( mountainproject.com/v/starb… ).
There are three main expanses of rock, the same as the ice climbing venues: Starbuck Left, Central, and Right. Currently (2014), the only established routes are at Starbuck Right. There are some projects at Central, but nothing yet established.

Find NY 28: from the Northway, take exit 25 Chestertown, head south on Rt. 8 to the traffic light in Wevertown, then turn north on Rt. 28.
Drive past the towns of North Creek and North River. You will be driving along the Hudson River, then begin diverging from the river as you head up a long hill. At the top of the hill, look for a giant RED chair set back a bit at the junction of Cleveland Road. Park here. Cross Rt. 28. Almost directly opposite the middle of Cleveland Road, a well-beaten herd path leads into the woods, across Raquette Brook, under power lines, and up to this crag in about fifteen minutes' walk.
Be aware that the beginning of this path lies along the boundary between State Land and private property. DO NOT TRESPASS. Within two hundred yards, the trail diverges from the boundary.
