Description

Classic old basaltic crag around ensenada petrohue. Located just 10 minutes before the Petrohue Lake beach.

From 5.8 till 5.11d.

Bring a 60 meter rope and long slings. Rock is of good quality but some of the bolts not placed in an obvious line.

The cliff can be access by the far right but is a sketchy climb thru an old ladder. Avoid that.

Bring extra rings and a 14 wrench for rusted maillons. Probably de sketchiest part of climbing here.

Petro is the name of the ant sized mosquitoes in the area. They gang up on dogs and humans , around 10 at a time, and some people have allergic reactions to them. Classic to climb with a ski mask or your buff.

January is the time for horseflies in the entire Los lagos region.

No cellphone signal and no water. Great place to hang out after climbing osorno volcano.
