Description
The 19 Mile Wall is a 100+ foot cliff located as the name implies near mile 19 on the Richardson Highway. You will see this wall on the right side of the road after crossing the Sheep Creek Bridge. There is a very noticeable crack up the middle of the face and a parking area directly below the wall. The 45 minute hike through the alders may not be that appealing, but the stunning views of the Books and sounding area always make for a memorable day. If snow covers the alders, the approach is a breeze. The routes are trad between 5.7 and 5.8 with long raps, so bring two ropes or a 70m along with webbing for alders at the top of the routes.
