Description

This is a nice little crag close to Arico, but not spectacular. The rock is water-washed basalt and climbing a bit technical. There are over 50 bolted routes ranging from 5.7 to 5.12c in difficulty. The climbs are usually short, with majority of the routes being 40 to 80 feet tall.

The crag is not in the Tenerife Escalada deportiva, which is the only available guidebook for Tenerife, but you can go to the Roxtar climbing shop in Granadilla to get a topo print out, roxtar.es

Getting There

Leave the TF-1 motorway at the P.I.R.S junction and take a narrow rising road towards La Ciserna. After 4.2km take the dirt track on the right for 200m and park in a flat area. Walk north along the gorge until you see some bolted routes. If you have a small car it is better to park carefully by the motorway and walk the last 200m.
