Description
This is a less popular area than most of the gritstone edges, even though it is relatively low lying. The crag gets sun in the afternoon and evenings. The aspect is semi-industrial, cluttered with nearby electricity pylons and a distant steelworks.
The rock is often black (due to smoke) amd has been quarried in several sections. Though climbs are relatively short (30' to 50'), take care as the landings - massive quarried blocks below the crag - are often lethal.
