Description Suggest change

This cluster of boulders sits around the trail and in the talus field about 25 minutes up the trail. The boulders in the forest stay shaded and cool all day, while those in the talus are quite exposed and dry fairly quickly. This area consists of classics like Hail to the Chief, The Gavel, Wise Man's Fear, King Tut, Diamond Engagement, McBerkey, The French Exit, Wasn't, and Contact High.

Getting There Suggest change

Hike on trail for 7 minutes past the washout/landslide boulder and 5 minutes past the log bridge. You will see the Gavel boulder on your left and the 420 boulder is 150 meters past the Gavel boulder. When you come to the Gavel boulder, look up the hill to the north (right side of trail) and there are a ton of classic moderates up in the talus field.
