Description
Morpheus is the high-quality granodiorite bouldering along the former mine road following the West Fork Miller River. All different bouldering areas can be found, from sun-drenched talus field to devil's club-filled forest, water-level dependent riverside to trailside, and crimpy testpieces to classic moderates. All these have in common a generally short approach off the trail. Morpheus also hosts Washington's former hardest boulder problem (before the Penrose Step), King Slayer.

Getting There
From Seattle area: Take US Route 2 East to Skykomish, WA. At mile post 45.89 turn right onto NE Old Cascade Highway toward Money Creek Campground. Continue on the paved road until you reach Miller River Road (USFS 6410). Turn Right onto Miller River Road, which turns into USFS 6410. Go for 3.5 miles until you see a long cement block on the right side of the road. Park out of the way and hike along old logging road past gate. About 10 mins of hiking you'll see the car door boulder on the right and the UnDammed boulder along the river on the left. Go to: westernwashingtonbouldering… for directions and topo.
