The AMO Wall is a fun area with excellent moderate multi-pitch slab climbing. The Advanced Military Operations (AMO) Wall is north (left) of Shannon Falls and is approached from the same parking area, but follows a path toward the falls and past the gift shop, whereas the Shannon Falls area is approached by walking south out of the parking lot. Routes on the AMO Wall are mostly bolted and multi-pitch with fixed anchors, but are difficult to see due to the forest of trees and lush vegetation.
From the Shannon Falls parking lot hike past the gift shop and turn left at the fork. Continue north to another fork in the path and take the gravel path, toward the Chief. Look for a faint climbers trail just north of the dry streambed, marked with orange tape. Follow the trail through the forest as it curves around and eventually leads south to the base of the AMO Wall.
