Details
The East Buttress is usually closed for climbing in spring due to nesting peregrines.
Description
The crag gets the afternoon sun, but it can be windy. Nearly all the routes here have been lead or soloed, but top-roping is common as there is only limited protection on many climbs, though belays at the top can be difficult to arrange. The rock is not really like desert sandstone in the US, but is closer to gritstone - there are often surprisingly large holds. Usually solid rock, but not 100% reliable.
