CLIMBING ROUTES SLATANIC, RATTLESNAKE BUTTRESS, MARGARET THATCHER SPIRE, STEPPING STONES, BULKHEAD, DUNCE CAP, AND COMMISSIONER'S BUTTRESS ARE CLOSED DUE TO NESTING GOLDEN EAGLES
Dates of Closure: February 8th to June 15th, 2022

Description

High on the left side of the canyon guarding the last bit of the approach to Ancient Kingdom is this large north-facing crag named for it's developer Raleigh Collins.

Three known routes are found here on a large swath of desert varnish - The Rand (5.10a), Gold Strike (5.11b) and Reallly Good (5.11c) on the shady north face.

Getting There

Approach as for the Split Boulder and then continue up the canyon another 10 minutes or so via boulder hopping and rough terrain to the base of the formation.

Total approach time is about 20-30 minutes from the vicinity of the Short Wall.
