Description
Located near Cranberry Lake, Cat Mountain is a scenic mountain with a long but easy approach. There are several cliff bands that are mostly unexplored with great opportunity for hard sport climbing.
Getting There
Go West on Rt. 3 for 7.7 miles from Cranberry Lake and turn left onto Wanakena Rd. Follow this for a little over a mile into Wanakena, staying right at all forks. Once in Wanakena the road will cross a bridge and soon turn left on S. Shore Road. Follow the road for a few minutes past one trailhead to another with a small parking area directly next to it. This is the trailhead to Dead Creek Flow. Follow the signs at the junctions to Cat Mountain. The approach is about 5 miles on flat, easy terrain.
