Description
Very large expanse of rock about 200 feet in height.
Lots of high ball boulders scattered around.
Fairly secluded area of the parkway.
Getting There
Drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to MP 16 and then look for a LEFT hand turn onto a gravel road 814.
After about 4/10 of a mile look for a parking area on the right near a driveway. It's basically just a mud parking area.
If no foliage on trees then you can see the cliffs from the road and parking area.
Head straight across road and you'll see a rough trail that'll take you to the base
(caution: trail to the rock verges LEFT off of the logging road....again..do not continue taking logging road or pass gate d/t private property)
The cliffs are actually within park boundaries.
