Getting weather forecast...

Description

Horror show poison ivy and large blackberry bushes in a dangerous giant boulder field is below this metamorphic rock crag. The boulders are featureless. Crag has a large ceiling seen from I93. The ceiling has no direct way to reach it though. Right of the ceiling is a perpetually wet wall with a diagonal fissure I soloed. Not recommended. The left side has a descent wall but difficult to reach.

Getting There

Go to the exit off of I93 for Tripoli Road. Drive up the road to it's first height of land and park on the side of the road. Another good luck finding the decent left wall without getting injured in the super bad boulder field.

Russel crag is not wrong and I could not remember that name. Parker if it is the crag high midway up the hillside, it looks nice.
Woodstock Dome is roadside on Rt.3 and has a decent 5.9 crack with easier run out face to the top belay. There is another easier climb here.
Another roadside large broken sectioned ledge is not accessible because of private property. I have not contacted land owner. Feb 3, 2014

Is the rock quality any good John? or is this just as bad as the approach sounds to be? Apr 23, 2013

This description always makes me smile. I came across this spot on a map where it was referred to as "Russell Crag". Looks like it'd be initially approached the power lines or maybe Cox Farm Rd?

Matt, is this spot obscure enough for you?

Also... Parker Ledge is the rock seen on the west side of 93 between Tripoli Rd and Lincoln. Not listed here on MP yet. Could be the next Main Cliff? :) Apr 23, 2013
