Budapest Rock Climbing

Budapest is the capital of Hungary. There are many world heritage sites to be found amongst the great museums, churches, and other historic buildings.

There are several climbing areas that are easily accessible from the city via public transportation. I'll put up separate areas for each one as I have time. In the meantime, here is a quick list.

Rókahegy (Fox Hill) is an old quarry found near the Csillaghegy HÉV stop. About 22 routes on limestone up to about 22 meters tall.

Francia Bánya (French Quarry) is another old quarry found near the Fenyőgyöngye final stop of the 65 bus. Lots of bouldering opportunities on a low traverse and about 12 routes up to about 15 meters tall on limestone.
