Description

This is a relatively new area that is above the Uncompahgre Gorge just above the upper bridge/Ice Park building. It was created with kids in mind, but the new to ice climbers may find it fun as well.

There are at least 9 spigots above that create less-than-vertical ice from 25-40 feet in height in the WI2-3 range.

To access the top, you hike briefly on the South Park trail a couple minutes until you see a prominent, colorful sign for the Kiddie Wall access. Above, there are a few trees on the right side for anchors, but you will probably need ice screws or a second rope for anchors on the middle and left side of this crag.

This wall is a great idea.

This wall makes me want to bring my younger kids out to play.
