Description
Treppenstein (Stepping stone) boasts 25 routes, the most in the Rudolfstein area. Routes are trad and short 15-20m and range from III-IX (5.4-5.12d).
NOTE: With the exception of "Westkamin" on the third "Bone Tower" (Gratturm), all routes remain trad and should remain so. The only reason this route is bolted, is that the park service bolted it for training purposes.
Getting There
Take the blue marked trail toward Weißenhaider Mühle, after a few meters, take the branch to the right. Following the forest road uphill, after 900m take another right branch. Then after 800m take the left branch (you should now be following the trail markers of blue cross on white background). After about 800m, take a high path that leads to the crag.
