This is on private land owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. There has been climbing there for decades without access issues. Please be respectful of that and don't do anything to jeopardize that.
Getting There
Lantern Hill sits in the middle of Westerly, Norwich, and New London. Coordinates of the parking lot are (41.466871, -71.945468).From Rhode Island via I-95 South: Take exit 93 for CT-216 toward CT-184/Clarks Falls, after 3.5 miles turn right at the traffic circle onto CT-2. Continue until North Stonington, and then take a left onto Mystic Rd. directly after the Shell Station. After about one mile take a sharp right onto CT-201 N and then an immediate left onto Wintechog Hill Rd. After about 2.5 miles on this road you should see a small dirt parking lot on the left. From Connecticut via I-95 North: Take exit 86 (right after the New London bridge) for CT-184 towards the Sub Base. After 2.5 miles take a right onto CT-117 N. After another 4.5 miles take a right onto CT-214 E. This will bring you right up by Foxwoods, but resist the urge to turn left to the casino and instead turn right into CT-2, and then another right onto Wintechog Hill Rd, after 1/4 mile, the dirt lot should be on the right. From Norwich via CT-2 East: Take CT-2 E out of Norwich for about 8.5 miles (past Foxwoods) youll go around a big arcing corner, where you'll want to take an immediate left (onto Foxwoods Blvd) after it straightens out. Then take the first right onto Wintechog Hill Rd. The dirt parking lot is about 1/4 mile down this road on the right.
