Description

We refer to this formation as the Entrance Tower because its position makes it an easy landmark to locate the approach trail with. However, this tower was climbed before we arrived at LDE (see the note below) – so if you happen to be the FA of this formation and have a name for it, please let us know.

Descent: Locate the rappel anchor approx 10' to climber's right of the top of "The FA that Wasn't". Rappel 90' to the base of the climb.

Marcy and I replaced the webbing rappel anchor with a permanent bolted rappel anchor. This rappel is just right of the top-out of "The FA that Wasn't". Feb 14, 2010
